Upfield Makes Impact at 2023 UN Climate Change Conference

Upfield recently wrapped up an eventful two weeks at the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai.

The global consumer goods company was fully immersed in critical conversations around building a sustainable and resilient food system.

Chief Sustainability Officer Sally Smith chaired insightful panels on both consumer transparency through environmental labelling and curbing methane emissions across agriculture supply chains.

Senior Policy Lead Perran Harvey drove discussions on shifting diets to reduce dependence on carbon-intensive livestock production and Director of Corporate Affairs Susannah Moore provided her expertise on the realities and path forward to shifting consumer behaviours towards more plant-based and eco-conscious purchasing.

Additionally, Upfield signed the major call-to-action from global civil society and business leaders urging governments for urgent climate action in phasing out fossil fuels and safeguarding the 1.5°C warming limit by 2030.

Catch this behind-the-scenes video recap showcasing Upfield's busy and productive two weeks engaging stakeholders and collaborating with partners at the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference.
